Welcome

Welcome to the KS Canada / SC Canada website - the home of Canada's primary network of researchers, health professionals, trainees and other stakeholders all engaged in knowledge synthesis.

KS Canada had a successful meeting in Vancouver on February 18, 2011 officially launching Systematic Review Protocol Registration. We had the pleasure of hosting many interesting speakers and all of the talks from the meeting are available on the website as PDF documents.

Furthermore, we are proud to announce that PROSPERO, the first online facility to prospectively register systematic reviews, has been launched by Health Minister Lord Howe in the U.K. Please see the endorsement of PROSPERO from Dame Sally Davies in the UK.

PROSPERO is a global initiative led by the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination, University of York. For further information, please visit the PROPSERO website as well as the related press releases from the UK Department of Health and the UK National Institute for Health Research. We also invite you to read the following editorial in PLoS MEDICINE, The PLoS Medicine Editors. Best Practice in Systematic Reviews: The Importance of Protocols and Registration. PLoS Med. 2011 Feb;8(2):e1001009. Epub 2011 Feb 22.
